January teaches us how to be still, to burrow inward, to rest where the world is quiet. February mends what winter touched, breathing warmth back into bone and breath. March listens for what wants to become, sketching futures in soft, patient lines. April answers at last— rising, unfurling, and stepping boldly into light.
So rest now. The journey ahead is already calling—and you will need your strength.*
I’m a perpetually enrolled student in the University of Life™—majored in “What Am I Doing?” and minoring in “Is This Really It?”
I laugh so much I’m auditioning for clown school, partly to tone down the existential dread—but mostly for the red nose.
My life-plan strategy? Laugh→Mess Up→Learn. Repeat. Poetry anthologies are my emotional weighted blankets, and I carry one everywhere—because you never know when you’ll need a metaphorical hug—or a literal one if things get awkward.
Poetry anthologies that I carry with me.
